Chief Executive Officer
Heather Richmond is an expert business development executive and key player in the Hemp industry, both in the U.S. and abroad. Her impact has been notable and includes opening Central Oregon’s first dispensary, serving as an Executive Director for NORML, she served as the CEO of one of the top premier industry influencer events, and has owned and operated a 50,000 sq. ft. cannabis manufacturing facility. Heather also help design, organize, promote, and facilitated the approval of the first cannabis event at the world famous Greek Theater. Ms. Richmond helped raise money for large-scale cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution companies around the globe, and is a managing partner in several full vertical ventures in Asia, Africa, and Central America. By utilizing her extensive experience and far-reaching network, Heather helps companies build strategic relationships with others in the Hemp and sustainability industry and identifies creative opportunities for incremental growth both nationally and internationally.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Jaffar comes to RWG with over 30 years’ experience as a experienced Controller. Mr. Jaffar has a demonstrated history of working in the chemicals industry. Skilled in Business Planning, Management Information Systems (MIS), Revenue Recognition, Auditing, and Variance Analysis. His most current experience with Advanced Nutrients for 7 years gives him extensive knowledge in the manufacturing space and with a company whose operations reaches over 120 countries. Working with a global company Mr. Jaffar supervised accounting functions and financial controls in multi company manufacturing setup. He worked directly with group consolidation and multi-currency, monthly and year-end financial reporting. He has also worked with detailed twelve month rolling operational budgets with quarterly updates and was an integral part of the company’s corporate tax planning.
Chief Project Officer
Ms. Wilmott comes to RWG with over 30 years’ experience working in the medical community as a podiatrist and complementary therapist. After transitioning out of the medical industry, she worked with Verve Cliquot, Aveda, and L’Oréal where she was responsible for retail business development, new accounts, and brand management. After exiting her successful career in business development in 2015, Ms. Wilmott entered the cannabis space where she worked with multiple recreational growing operations in Washington State. Here she established “green” cleaning protocols and studied the effects of measurable bioburden and ATP levels to predict potential contamination risk and established the concept of affording predesigned Standards of Operation for licensed producers. Stephanie is currently studying, Plant science and GMP Pharma and GDP training with Hygiene and Microbiology through “Concept Heidelberg” at the European Compliance Academy. She recently attained her GMP Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (GMP PQS) Auditor/Lead Auditor certificate, is a member of IRCA and is a founding member of the European Compliance Academy focus group for cannabis standardization. Stephanie has worked directly with several licensed producers in South America, South Africa, Canada and Europe to ensure that facilities and growing practices and procedures are compliant with European standards for Good manufacturing and distribution.
Jim is a licensed attorney with over 20 years’ experience and represents many companies in the cannabis and hemp industry throughout the U.S. He is also a certified HCISSP (Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner). Jim developed an extensive network of local, state, national, and international contacts in the legal hemp & cannabis industry. Jim co-authored legal recommendations for the Greece's Minister of Agriculture related to the country's pharmaceutical cannabis law. Attorney Ickes graduated from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2000 and summa cum laude from Ohio University in Finance in 1997. He is the former president of the Portage County Bar Association and a former adjunct professor at Hiram College where he taught business law. Ickes is also a former recipient of Community Legal Aid’s Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award. A founding Member of ICKES\HOLT, he is committed to the principle that the practice of law, at its core, is about solving problems.
Attorney Ickes is lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio. Attorney Ickes is a proud husband and father of three and is actively involved in many civic activities in his hometown of Hudson.
Joel is a licensed attorney with nearly 15 years’ experience in business planning, corporate governance, litigation, and employment law. He represents cannabis clients throughout the U.S. in transactional, compliance, governance, and employment-related matters. Joel is a Certified CIPP-US (cybersecurity expert). He co-authored a recommendation for a legal framework for Greece’s pharmaceutical cannabis law. He works closely with domestic and international strategic partners on issues related to licensure, compliance, and governance. Joel is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
